Repairing existing stone is one way of beautifying a renovation project . The wonderful thing about Stone is that Mother Nature produces the same stone today that she always has, so matching is usually not a problem. That being said, the only difficulty lies in available supply. Some stone is becoming more and more scarce to find. A good example is large slate. However, substituting a match is often feasible and quite often pleasing to the budget.
